The medium of watercolor never ceases to excite me.  Because of its flexibility, I enjoy exploring its ability to convey soft edged mystic moods as well as its hard edged precise representations. 

I like the challenge of having the physical properties of the pigments mixing with water, gravity, and humidity while trying to keep the painting under control in what can be a semi-controlled environment.  Add to that, being spontaneous while at the same time planning ahead in order to leave the white paper areas clear, it seems painting in watercolor is a big juggling job……but, what fun!
